Every year science and technology is celebrated throughout the Netherlands during the first weekend of October. Weekend of Science is there to give young and old an insight into the world of science and technology in an accessible way. In this way, children and young people are introduced to applications and professions of the future in a fun way.
A look behind-the-scenes
Visitors during Weekend of Science get a unique behind-the-scenes look at organizations and get to go into places not normally visible to the public. Meet real scientists, see conservators at work in a museum and do experiments in laboratories.
Weekend of Science is suitable for (almost) all ages. There is a focus on families with children between 8 and 14 years old, but everyone can fully discover for themselves what the wonderful world of science and technology has to offer. Check out the program on the Weekend of Science website!
