The startup is developing a therapeutic vaccine targeting bacteria that live in colorectal tumors and interfere with treatments. By eliminating these bacteria, the effectiveness of existing cancer therapies is improved. With the funding raised, the team will further develop and validate various vaccine candidates in extensive preclinical studies.
Pepper Therapeutics
Pepper Therapeutics was founded in December 2025 with the goal of developing an affordable and effective treatment for pancreatic cancer. Since its inception, the company has raised a total of €1.2 million. With the new funding, it will take important steps toward clinical development in the coming period.
Omivera
Finally, Omivera, a spin-off from Leiden University, has received a “brick.” The company is developing the so-called “CellEKT” technology, which can predict at an early stage whether cancer drugs will be effective.
