At GameAnalyze, everything revolves around the wellbeing of children. With an innovative app, Dmitry and his co-founders Ilia and Alex playfully screen children for mental vulnerabilities.
They are working towards a clear mission: to give parents and healthcare professionals faster and more accessible insight into children’s wellbeing.
“Originally, we wanted to create a diagnostic tool, but due to strict regulations and high costs, we decided to change course,” Dmitry explains. “Now, we focus on wellbeing, and especially on early identification, not diagnosis.”
The journey of GameAnalyze began with a conversation between friends, all of whom had undiagnosed ADHD and struggled with it as children. Through a network in the Netherlands, the idea quickly grew into a startup with international ambitions. Thanks to Innovation Quarter in The Hague, they not only gained a foothold, but also discovered how important it is to know the right people and share your story.
“I’m not a networker,” Dmitry admits with a smile. “But unlock_ taught me that you get nowhere without a network. Everyone in the program helps each other move forward, even if you’d rather stay in the background.”
unlock_ turned out to be a real catalyst for GameAnalyze. Not only did they receive their first donation from Rabobank in the third week, they also learned to continually refine their pitch and vision. The biggest challenge? Pitching to different audiences and experts while staying true to their own story. But in this environment, everyone is unique, and you really learn from each other.
During the first three months of the unlock_ program, several trainers truly made a difference for the GameAnalyze team. Dmitry mentions Stefan Ellenbroek as the first to give valuable advice. Rob Mayfield stood out for his inspiring and insightful sessions, and Nick Veringmeier for his expertise in presenting and marketing. Michelle Sjollema managed to make even financial topics accessible and inspiring.
What does the future hold? Mostly making choices and finding the right direction. The most recent major pivot, from B2B diagnostics to B2C wellbeing, was exciting but essential. “You keep learning, meeting new people, and expanding your network.” Dmitry believes it’s important for startups to share their successes, because you never know who might be able to help you.
When asked to describe unlock_ in one word, Dmitry doesn’t hesitate: “Opportunities. The program offers so many possibilities.” His advice for new founders? “Talk to Sven and Christian, their experience is invaluable.”
In five years, GameAnalyze hopes to make a real impact. Dmitry emphasizes that helping people live happier and healthier lives will always come first; money comes second.
