Sencilia aims to enhance the safety of IV infusion therapy, and harbors the vision of becoming the standard of care in IV drug administration by 2030.

Sencilia, an early-stage Deeptech/MedTech startup, is a spin-off from the Bioinspired MEMS and Biomedical Devices (BMBD) group at the University of Groningen. Dr. Amar M. Kamat (former postdoc in BMBD and currently the CEO of Sencilia) and Prof. Ajay G.P. Kottapalli (Associate Professor and Chair of the BMBD group) founded Sencilia in September 2021 in order to utilize and valorize the extensive knowhow in sensor technology and nanofabrication generated within the BMBD group over many years.
