Akin Solutions is moving to Delft!

28 mei 2026

After a valuable period within our community, Akin Solutions is taking another step in its growth. The biotech company is moving to Planet B.io in Delft, where it plans to develop further within a specialised environment for industrial biotechnology.

Growth at PLNT

For founder Ieva Palubeckaite, the journey at PLNT began in the early stages of the company. “PLNT gave us a community at a time when I was still a solo founder, but also later when we grew into a small team,” Ieva says. “We built valuable connections there, received support, and most importantly found a place where entrepreneurship and collaboration are key.”

During their time at PLNT, Akin Solutions participated in several programs, including Venture Academy, unlock_ and Sprout. These tracks helped the company grow in a variety of areas: from network development and training to introductions, support with funding opportunities and finding an engaged entrepreneurial community.

A new phase

Yet the time has come for the next phase. As Akin Solutions continues to grow, the company’s needs are also shifting. “Our focus is increasingly on specialized biotech infrastructure: access to wet labs, specialized expertise and a network that understands the challenges of industrial biology. Planet B.io in Delft provides exactly that environment.”

At Planet B.io, Akin Solutions intends to focus on scaling up enzyme expression to commercially viable yields and conducting an initial validated bioprocess at pilot scale. With the technical expertise, facilities and collaborations available within the Delft ecosystem, the team sees this as a logical and important step forward.

Although Akin Solutions is saying goodbye to PLNT, the company looks back on the past years with great appreciation. “The strong community at PLNT is something we will definitely miss. It’s a close-knit environment where you notice that everyone wants to help each other grow.”

The team from Akin Solutions will be sorely missed within our community. We wish them the best of luck with the next steps and will be watching from the sidelines as they continue to grow! 🌱
